Ballyvarley 7-7 Warrenpoint 2-9
Ballyvarley U-17 Hurlers made the most of their ability to bury the ball in the back of the net in overcoming a talented Warrenpoint team in Ballela. Warrenpoint enjoyed a lot of possession in the opening half but while they picked off some excellent points, Ballyvarley made the most of their opportunities to hammer home four goals and led by 4-1 to 1-7 at half time.
Warrenpoint reduced the deficit to the minimum shortly after the restart but then the Reds revived their hunt for goals and three more were enough to break the back of the seasiders challenge and Ballyvarley ran out comfortable winners.
