clash, Ballyvarley 1-9 Kilclief 3-9.
Back in the day we used to refer to
our games with Kilclief as Battles and after watching this latest very
competitive rough and tumble clash, I must conclude that little has
changed over the years.
The Reds began the game brightly, dominating the first half but trailed by 0-5 to 1-5 at the interval with Matthew Malone
providing the only scoring threat with all five
points. A rather soft Kilclief goal gave them the advantage for much of the
game.

Second half points from Matthew Malone and young Thomas Lennon and a goal from Johnny Lennon left only two
points between the sides and it was game on again, but two spectacular
goals from the visitors proved decisive.
