Aghaderg Lose Out In Quarter-Final Clash With St Pauls In Carryduff.
24 August 2009
Weather conditions were far from perfect yesterday in Carryduff as Aghaderg exited the Junior Football Championship. With a gale blowing in St Pauls favour for the first thirty minutes they were able to build up a lead of 1-6 to 0-2 at the break. This proved a bridge too far for a determined Aghaderg side who pulled it back to within a goal in the dying minutes. Indeed had it not been for a last ditch clearance off the line by St Pauls we could have gone into the last minute only a point down but alas both our luck and the time ran out with St Paul's surviving to go through to the semi-finals.
