Tonight in the wet damp conditions the young reds hosted An Riocht in the next round of their league.
They certainly don't make them small in An Riocht and the much taller and physically stronger away team dominated the opening stages of the first half firing home two well worked goals.
The Derg men stayed with it though and kept themselves in the game going in 2-2 to 4 points down at the break.
The second half saw some great tackling, catching and passing from the reds. With our heads up and no longer intimidated by the bigger away team we started to work the ball well up the field and find our men who converted some great scores.
The effort from our lads paid off as at the final whistle we secured another win in this very competitive league.

Thanks to all our parents and supporters for getting the lads out in such wet conditions but I'm sure it was well worth it to watch such a competitive and close game.
