The U-14A team played host to county champions Carryduff on Sunday at Aghaderg.
Following their defeat the previous week by Liatroim, a good start was required from the girls in red.
Playing with the aid of the breeze in the first half, the girls hit the goal-trail and steamrolled their opponents, going in at the break with an emphatic lead.
The second half was a much tougher battle, but a resolute defensive performance ensured that Carryduff couldn’t score the goals required to get back in the match. Despite bringing the deficit back to 8 points at one stage, Aghaderg finished strongly with late goals to secure their second league victory in a fiercely competitive Division 1.
Aghaderg 10-3 Carryduff 2-10
The Development team had a free weekend, but both teams are back in action next Sunday as follows:
The Development team play Longstone away (12.30pm throw in) and the A team play Clonduff away (5pm throw-in).
