Tonight the lads travelled to St Michael's with the aim of securing a well earned place in the league final. Working hard for each other with some fine examples of high fielding, passing and closing down the opposition the young reds went in 1-8 to 0-5 up at half time.
The second half saw the St Michael lads come out strong however the Derg kept playing their football and remained in front throughout. The lads played some excellent passages of football however wayward shooting in front of goals maybe let us down - some thing to work on lol. With the last kick of the game St Michael's hit the net from a close in free - something else for us to work on - to leave the final score 1-12 to 1-14.
The workrate and attitude from everyone was excellent tonight which is great to see and it's evident this group is learning and improving week in week out. The lads now go into two solid weeks of preparation for what should be a very exciting final.
