Today the U-14 camogs travelled to Castlewellan for their final group championship game.
Stakes were high with both teams aware a win would secure passage to the final. Aghaderg started brightly in the first half with the girls working tirelessly in defence and attack to keep Castlewellan subdued. Despite a 3-2 to 0-0 advantage at halftime Aghaderg knew to expect a battling performance from a skillful Castlewellan side in the second half.
Capitalising on playing with the breeze Castlewellan indeed pushed forward to convert their chances. Despite pushing the reds to the final whistle our defence held firm and our forwards made the most of any scoring opportunities.
