Aghaderg senior camogs began their league campaign with an away win against Newry Shamrocks last night.
After a slow start on a heavy pitch the girls got into their stride and established a strong half time lead. Newry upped their game in the second half and the girls had to work hard to stay in control. Excellent performances all round. Claire Morgan led the back line reading the game brilliantly, backed by very strong performances from Laura Fletcher, Emma McQuaid and Emer McNulty. In midfield, Katie Morgan and Sarah Malone worked tirelessly linking play and setting up attacks. Up front, the forwards’ movement was excellent resulting in scores for Connie Rea, Emer Smyth, Katerina Martin, Sarah Malone and Niamh McGrath.
