2011 Senior Awards

The presentation of the 2011 Senior Awards took place in Ballyvarley Hall on Saturday 28 January.  The winners of the various awards from U16 level through to Senior level in all codes are listed in table format below and pictures will be posted in the Gallery section of the website. Congratulations to all the winners.
 
The special guest for the evening was Tullylish club man, past President of the GAA (1979 – 1982) and current President of Down GAA Paddy McFlynn. Paddy, who is 93 years of age, has given a lifetime of service to the GAA. He spoke eloquently on the evening in both Irish and English and encouraged all the young people present to commit to the values of the association and to the most important unit in the association, your home club and your local community. His words were both sincere and inspirational.
 
Now that the 2011 season is officially behind us we can all look forward to the 2012 season with eager anticipation. I would encourage everyone to do everything in their power to help bring some silverware home to the club this year! Achadh Dearg go deo!
