we draw near to the summer, Down GAA are seeking expressions of interest from
people who may be interested in joining the coaching staff at this year's
Kellogg's Cúl Camps.
Cúl Camps are an integral part of the Down GAA calendar with over 3000 children
attending on an annual basis.
are looking for enthusiastic people who have a genuine interest in Coaching
Gaelic Games to children. Candidates must be over 16 years of age and MUST have
completed a minimum of GAA Child Protection Training and a Foundation GAA
are seeking two types of applicants:
- Assistant Camp Coaches
coaches are those aged 16 & 17 who have little coaching experience but who
are keen to learn from the more experienced coaches on camp. Assistant coaches
are generally deployed in week's which are very busy, thus meaning additional
help is required.
- Kellogg's Cúl Camp Coaches
Camp Coaches must be aged 18 and above. These are individuals who are actively
involved in coaching within their own clubs and schools. Kellogg's Cúl Camp
coaches must have the ability to organise and deliver progressive and fun
activities to young children aged between 5 and 13 years. Coaches must have
access to a form of transport if and when required.
GAA is not in a position to guarantee anyone a full summer of work
and an expression of interest does not guarantee anyone employment.
the interest of the children attending the camps, Down GAA will utilise the best
coaches at our disposal at all times.
