Ballycran V Aghaderg

Our U-16 girls travelled to Ballycran on Saturday 19th April and despite a late ferry and starting late the game finally got underway 45 minutes late. Our girls were up against a motivated and skilled team however I was greatly impressed by the standard of camogie our girls played as 4 of the girls still play for U-14 in a 9 a side league. Ballycran came out on top but most impressive of the day was our brilliant back line who never gave up the fight and our forwards who scored an impressive goal towards the end of the match.

Aghaderg v Longstone

This was our first match of the season played at home on Friday 16th May. The girls got off to a shaky start however as Longstone were the first to score however it wasn't long until Aghaderg scored and put us in front. This game was exciting to watch and the teams were quite evenly matched. At half time Aghaderg were 2 points ahead. On such a warm night the midfield players were changed a few times to give them a breather. The pressure at times from the back line was relentless and they never gave up. Good play from midfield and passes down to the forward line produced some excellent goals. Aghaderg won final score 9-3 5-9
