St. Patrick's U14 Hurling at Féile na nGael
18 June 2017
This weekend, Friday 16th to Sunday 16th
June, the St. Patrick’s U14 Hurling team took part in the Féile na nGael, representing Down.
After their hard work raising the money for the journey and
event, the boys spent a well deserved weekend playing in Davidstown, Wexford.
The boys spent the weekend in the the best Host Town in Ireland - Davidstown. The welcome, effort and hospitality they were shown was a credit to Wexford. Although the team had injured players and the scoring wasn't on St. Patrick's side, the spirits weren't dampened as the great memories of the weekend out weighed everything.
The host team could not have done more for the children and families. They provided BBQ, Sit Down Meal, endless supplies of strawberries, Féile Cake, laundered hurling kits, signed and more. A truly first class weekend made special with a great team of U14 hurlers that made their clubs proud. Well done St .Patrick's U14 Féile Hurling Team.
The St.Patrick’s boys were also presented with a signed
Wexford jersey at a Presentation Dinner held for them on Saturday night. In
return, St. Patrick’s presented Davidstown with a Mourne Granite team
photograph.
