02 July 2017

Banbridge Cuchulainns are a Gaelic football team  formed from pupils attending three secondary schools in the Banbridge area; Newbridge College Loughbrickland, St Patrick's Banbridge and Banbridge High School. They take part in Ulster GAA's flagship cross community programme, and their reward for winning the annual Cuchulainn Cup Blitz event  is the honour of representing Ulster in an All-Britain competition to be held in London.

Two Aghaderg players, Ryan Donnelly and Matthew Malone, will be on the plane for the four day trip to London. They depart Banbridge at 6:00 am Thursay 6th July and have a full itinerary  before returning home on Sunday 9th July. The highlights of the trip include a city tour on Thursday,  a challenge game at Ruislip and  the competition on Saturday against teams from across Britain. A further incentive for the two young players to enjoy this trip is a trip to California for the overall winners.
In preparation for the trip and the competition they have spent a day visiting Croke Pk and a training session Parnell Pk.

The best wishes of the Aghaderg  club go with Ryan and Matthew as they represent  club, school and province in London.
