ULSTER GAA PRESIDENTS AWARD

17 April 2018

Well done to a very busy Sarah Malone, who is pictured here being presented with the Ulster GAA Presidents award for Volunteering.

Sarah achieved the 200 hrs GoldMark award for Volunteering, being involved as Youth Club Leader, assisting Coaching of the U6-8 camogie teams and Coaching Camogie within New Bridge Integrated College to Year 8-10 pupils.

In April she won the inaugural Ulster GAA Translink Award organising an Easter Egg Hunt for the Youth and recruiting new members for the club in the very young age bracket.

Sarah was a member of the Down minor camogie panel and was selected to attend the Ulster Elite Camp last year in Ulster University, bringing back to the club the knowledge she gained, especially around nutrition.
Sarah also achieved OCN Level 2 in the Good Relations and Civic Leadership Programme working with the GAA, Ulster Rugby and the IFA and attending a trip to Poland within that capacity.
Captain of the U16 Camogie team and a midfielder on our senior team, Sarah also assists around the club in various capacities and puts every effort into her Club activities both on and off the field.

A fantastic example for others to follow.
Well done Sarah!
