AGHADERG PIPPED AT THE POST IN OPENING GAME

The sun did not shine on Aghaderg’s return to action after the Covid lockdown but both sides strove with enthusiasm to produce a very competitive game of football on a wet and miserable night.
The best football was reserved for the first half and after Mitchels eased into a 0-3 to 0-1 lead, Aghaderg produced their best football and with Chrissy McAvoy leading the line, they were good value for a 0-6 to 0-3 advantage.
It would have been nice to have taken that lead into the interval, but the visitors punished a few miss-directed passes to leave the
half time score Aghaderg 0-6 Mitchels 0-5.
