AGHADERG 5-8 GLENN 6-5
Wednesday night saw the return of ladies football to Aghaderg in the first round of the U-12 girls league against local rivals Glenn. The match started at a frantic pace with both teams fresh from the extended layoff. Glenn were first to strike, with an early goal, but Aghaderg were soon on the front foot and added 2 majors from midfield duo Cliondhna McGrath and Lauren Devlin, whilst the dangerous Clodagh Simpson tagged on a number of points. Glenn kept the pressure on, adding a goal and a number of points before the short whistle.
This left the half time score at 2-5 to 2-4 in favour of Aghaderg.
