Aghaderg U-11's Beat League Leaders

Our U-11’s travelled to Mayobridge this morning with a point to prove. The attitude in this young team has changed over the last few weeks. With a great win over a good Drumgath team and a close game against a Tullylish side that is scoring for fun. Our lads were well up for today’s battle and what a battle it was. Two teams going toe to toe in the first half, nothing separating them at half time.

Our lads came out in the second half and dominated the first 5-8 minutes.
A goal each from Harry Mooney and Christopher Strain putting us in front, a lead we kept with the two teams adding points to the score board. Mayobridge however, came back strong in the last 10 minutes. Our Backs weathered the storm and an incredible save from Eoghan Divine and two well timed blocks from Rory O’Neill and Thomas Trimby kept us in front.
