Ballyvarley 0-8 Ballygalget 1-17
Nothing is ever easy against an Ards hurling team and a strong Ballygalget side proved a tough nut to crack in Ballyvarley. The Reds enjoyed a good first half, but a lack of composure cost them dear as they squandered so many chances and trailed by 0-5 to 1-6 at the interval.
The visitors maintained the four-point gap against a spirited home side until the final quarter, but eight unanswered points gave them a comfortable victory in the end.
Scorers: Conor McPolin 0-3, Callum McConville 0-2, Liam Conlon 0-1, Rory Og 0-1, Louis Murray 0-1.
