Senior Hurling

Ballyvarley senior hurlers made the long Monday night journey to Ballycran on a windy evening making this effectively a game of two halves. Ballyvarley opened the scoring with a point from a Matthew Malone Free quickly followed by a cracking goal from Rory Og however Ballcran quickly hit back with a goal and point from a very strong experienced team. Points were traded up to half time in a physical game where frees were hard come by for both teams. The full back line of the two Thomas Lennons and Louis Murray held firm with some great tackling. The half back line of Chrissy Lennon Ciaron Davis and Ory McLean throughout were up against a fast accurate Ballycran forward line.
With the strong wind at their back Ballycran took control in the second half and took some great scores from distance however Ballyvarley battled hard against the breeze with further scores from our young first season corner forwards of Barra Mag Fhionnbhairr and Harrison Lennon.
