On a beautiful night for hurling the seniors travelled to Carryduff and quickly took the lead with three quick scores from play from Matthew Malone whilst the defence held tight with Harrison Lennon, Chrissy Lennon and Louis Murray holding the half back line. In fact the defence did not concede a score to the 21st minute. In the interim Aidan McLean got a touch to a crossing ball putting this into the Carryduff net and got a second cutting in along the end line before somehow placing this in the top corner for a second goal. The full back line remained resilient throughout with The two Thomas Lennon Snr and Jnr along with Ory McLean were dominant throughout as were the midfield of Nial Hussarz and James Teague. Rory Og and Conor Mc Polin both added two points to the tally whilst Matthew Malone continued to be a pain throughout scoring a further nine points from play and three from frees. The Carryduff keeper pulled of three fantastic saves and whilst Carryduff made some changes at half time strengthening their team they came up against Ballyvarley playing one of their best games this year.
This was a strong team performance from all across the team and subs on a fantastic Carryduff pitch.
