COUNTY BREAKFAST MORNING SUNDAY 15TH JULY
04 July 2012
We have less than three weeks to go now to our first Ulster Final since 2003 and we are all looking forward to the day.
A day when the Red & Black once again takes its place in Clones in the Senior Provincial Final, a day when we hope that the long wait to see the Anglo Celt return to Down will finally be over.
This generation of Down Footballers now have a great opportunity to win Ulster Senior Medals. It is nothing more than men like Liam Doyle, Benny Coulter and all others deserve, our job is to help make it happen.
We are organising two fund raising venture around the Ulster Final which allow us to generate funds to help prepare the Team without putting additional burden on you the Clubs. All we ask for is your help.
On Sunday 15
th
July thanks to the generosity of three local hotels we are hosting A Breakfast Morning from 8.30am to 11.00am in The Canal Court Hotel Newry, Slieve Donard Hotel Newcastle and the Wellington Park Belfast. Tickets are £8.00 for adults, £5.00 for children. The Down Players and Management will be represented at all three venues.
We hope that Clubs will display the poster, notify their members and assist us by taking orders for tickets for the Breakfast at any of the three venues.
Our second initiative is the Anglo Celt draw where we are offering patrons the opportunity to purchase a £1 draw ticket when they are purchasing their match tickets. Draw tickets will not be sold with U16 tickets but may only be purchased in conjunction with Adult tickets.
This is an entirely voluntary contribution but we would ask you to encourage your members to purchase a ticket in the Anglo Celt Draw.
Let us all now look forward to Clones on the 22
nd
July. Embrace the moment, hang out our brightest colours and let the country see that we believe in this team.
