Gaeltacht Summer Schools
As well as playing Gaelic games Aghaderg GAC and Ballyvarley HC supports the promotion of Gaelic culture and language. The club has traditionally awarded £50 to members attending Gaeltacht Summer Schools to develop and enhance their Irish language skills.
Members attending a Gaeltacht Summer School in 2016 are encouraged to write to any member of the Club Committee to avail of the funding.
Applicants must be paid up members of the club and must be attending a recognised Summer School in a designated Gaeltacht area.
As the club also participates in the annual Feis an Dúin Irish Language collection grants are also available from the Down GAA County Board for attendance at the Gaeltacht and the closing date for applications in 14 April 2016.
