A well drilled and motivated Aghaderg U-16 Camogie team entered the lion’s den to take on unbeaten Ballygalget in the Championship Semi-final but after playing valiantly for an hour they had to concede defeat to an exceptional Ard’s side.

Aghaderg began well and showed their skill and ability throughout but there was a freakish nature to the strength of their opponents that just couldn’t be denied and the Reds will be disappointed that in the very season when we produce our strongest juvenile team, Ballygalget should have nurtured one of such outstanding strength. Fantastic Aghaderg supporters dominated the side line on all sides of the field and, throughout the game, they showed their appreciation of this great young team and their achievements this year.
